M 85, NGC 4394 and IC 3292 form a trio that belongs to the Virgo Galaxy Cluster. IC 3292 shows signs of interaction with M 85. SDSS J122641.71+180813.5 to the left of the trio has a very similar radial velocity of just over 700 km/s, so this galaxy could also belong to the system around M 85. M 85 itself shows a quite complex structure with shells and arcs. Its diameter is given as 7' - but if you include the faintest extensions in the image, you get about 14' maximum diameter.
